Programs

We offer intensive 15-month training programs for Black male youth ages 15-18, focusing on technology creation, entrepreneurship, and leadership skills. Our curriculum includes web development, mobile app development, game design, and digital marketing.

Our main program is 15 months long with sessions held on weekends and during school breaks. Students typically commit 10-15 hours per week to program activities, including workshops, mentoring sessions, and project work.

Students learn technical skills including coding (Python, JavaScript, HTML/CSS), mobile app development, game design, and digital marketing. They also develop leadership, entrepreneurship, and professional skills through mentoring and real-world projects.

Innovation

Our approach combines technical training with culturally relevant pedagogy, mentoring, and real-world application. We focus on asset-based framing and use project-based learning to help students see themselves as creators and leaders in technology.

We collaborate with leading tech companies like Google, Comcast, and McLaren Formula 1 to provide students with real-world experience, mentorship opportunities, and exposure to career pathways in technology and innovation.

Alumni Engagement

Alumni can stay connected through our alumni network events, mentoring opportunities with current students, speaking engagements, and ongoing professional development workshops. We also have an active online community for networking.

Our alumni have gone on to work at major tech companies, start their own businesses, and pursue computer science degrees at top universities. Many have become leaders and advocates in their communities, continuing the mission of revealing genius.

Operations

We are funded through a combination of foundation grants, corporate partnerships, individual donations, and fundraising events. Our diverse funding model helps ensure program sustainability and growth.

We currently operate in multiple locations across the Bay Area and have expanded to other cities. Our flagship location is in Oakland, California, with additional sites serving communities throughout California.
